This is a great news for those who don't have web/wap enabled mobile handsets. You can now simply make a Google Search by sending an SMS with normal SMS charge your cell phone opertaor has. You can use Google SMS Search service for getting train schedules, finding near by restaurant, movie and event's places & timings, weather forcasts and lot more.
Google is very profound in search and providing services. e.g. I could SMS "Pubs Mumbai Suburbs" to 97733 00000 and it sends back the list of popular pubs around Mumbai Suburbs. But that's not it, it also sets my default location automatically to Mumbai. I don't need to provide my location each time. We can anytime change the location and set it another though.
