Clear Search Terms You Made on Google Search Box

You can clear your Google search history from the Google search box by following simple steps given below.

The search history that displays in the search box on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. Below are given instructions for clearing search history in the browser you're using. If your browser isn't listed, we suggest consulting its help resources.

Internet Explorer:

1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Select Delete Browsing History .
3. Click the Delete forms button.
4. Click the Yes button in the confirmation window.
5. Click the Close button.

Alternatively, you can delete individual entries from your search history by using the Down arrow key to highlight a previous search, then pressing the Delete key.

1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Click the Content tab.
4. Click the Settings button in the 'AutoComplete' section.
5. Deselect the 'Forms' checkbox.
6. Click the OK buttons to save your settings.

1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Click the Content tab.
4. Click the AutoComplete button.
5. Click the Clear Forms button.
   You can also deselect the 'Forms' checkbox to keep this information from being stored in the future.
6. Click the OK button.

Firefox 2 or 3:

1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Select Clear Private Data.
3. Select Saved Form and Search History.
4. Click the Clear Private Data Now button.

Safari 2 or 3:

1. Click the Safari menu.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Click the Autofill tab.
4. Click the Edit button next to the 'Other forms' checkbox.
5. Select Google.com from the list.
6. Click Remove.
7. Click Done.
